Here are the final textured views for my bedroom scene, because I could finally see the finished design in Maya I made a few changes to make the scene look and feel more realistic to the viewer. First of all I changed the window frame to a 4 paneled window and added in curtains and a rail. Also I created two posters on the wall by the bed to make it feel more like a childs bedroom and put a toy on the shelf, to make use of that space. Overall I am very happy with the design and colour palette used because its a bold contrast the to the fishbowl scene, where I used a lot of green and brown tones and textures. Finally I added in the fishbowl to the table where the zoom shot will start from to then show the audience the bedroom.
This blog will be continuously updated to show all of my work from my Animation (BAHons) course 2012-2015 at University of Lincoln.

Maya Fishbowl Textured
The screenshots above are the finished views of my fishbowl scene, I took a rendered view of the ship just to show the subtle use of bump mapping I used to give the ship a warn and old look to make the objects more realistic.

Bedroom Colour Palette
I tried out three different bedroom designs, I knew that I wanted the owner of the bedroom to be a young girl and add a colour contrast to the fishbowl design which is quite dark. I preferred the first design its a stereotypical girls room very bright with lots of different shades of pink so I will develop this into my final maya background scene. The orange room felt warm but the different tones seemed to overwhelm the scene, as with the last palette design there was to much going on for the audience to take it all in at once because this scene is to be shown in such a short space of time.
